Slightly more expensive than the Super Star Destroyer, one more fighter bay, and of course less of a risk should it fall into enemy hands. It carries far more fuel than the other middle to heavy weight Imperial ships. The SSC has the same number of bays as the Super Star Carrier.
As of 2021 at Planets.nu, the SSC has the Intercept Interference ability. This ability protects other ships which begin the turn at the same location as the Super Star Cruiser owned by the same player from cloakers on an intercept mission. Specifically, Cloak & Intercept will not work against the SSC or its battlegroup, and Priority Intercept will not cause cloakers to fight first. This ability has made the SSC relevant again as a ship worth building for EE. It is also a valuable ship for trading now as well.
