The Resolute is a workhorse of the Bird fleet: ample firepower, ample cargo, Advanced Cloaking, it is ideally equipped for long range stealth strike missions, cargo hauling in hostile conditions, and nearly any use that comes to hand. It may not always be the best ship for the job, but it's almost always an adequate ship for any job. It has the fuel and cargo capacity to bring big pain to a remote target. This is a popular ship for non-cloaking races that can benefit highly from a cloaker, such as the Robots, Crystals, or even Lizards (who are attracted to its large payload and fuel usage).

- Advanced cloaking device doesn't fail inside nebulae, unlike normal cloaking devices.
- Advanced cloaking further protects the Resolute Battlecruiser against radiation. About 33.3% of the normal crew/clans are lost while cloaked.
