The Virgo Class Battlestar is the main warship of the Colonies. It is the 5th most powerful carrier in the game, but stands up well against all of them. If fighting another heavy carrier do what you can to ensure that you have the left-side advantage.

Notes
A Virgo with a full fighter wing can sweep 5800 mines per field (within 100 LY) per turn. Combined with Heavy Phasers, which can sweep 400 mines per field (within 5 LY) per beam, and the maximum sweeping potential is 9800 mines per field (within 5 LY) per turn. Fighter/beam sweeping is simultaneous.
