Kittyhawk Class Carrier

The image for the Kittyhawk Class Carrier is the Akira Class Starship, out of the Star Trek universe. It was one of the few Federation Carriers in the latter half of the 24th Century.[1].

The Kittyhawk is the sole carrier of the The Solar Federation. With its low mass, low cargo, and 6 fighter bays it does not appear to be much. However, when paired with a Missouri Class Battleship, Diplomacy Class Cruiser, or Nova Class Super-dreadnought, as well as the Fed crew bonus of +3 fighter bays and extra mass, this ship becomes an amazing threat. Although a fully loaded Kitty costs around 7500 mc, this should not be a problem for a fed player that has paid attention to developing his economy. Because of its small cargo hold Kittyhawks need constant resupply. A Kittyhawk Class Carrier allows a Federation player to maintain a favorable ratio for PBPs When fighting races with Heavy Carriers.
