A Ramscoop is a device that collects interstellar hydrogen and concentrates it into fuel. Even the rarest vacuum of interstellar space has approx. 1 hydrogen atom per cubic centimeter, and space has many cubic centimeters. The Cobol takes advantage of this fact to generate two kilotons of Neutronium fuel per light year traveled.
