Mass specifically is a measure of weight and volume in space. more mass generally constitutes large or more densely items. any ship or cargo within the game has mass. the only item i can think of with no mass is megacredits.

Kilotons are the units of measure for mass. more kilotons is more mass. anythng with a weight in kilotons is Mass. kilotons is often abbreviated with KT or kt
