The Kittyhawk Class Carrier is a ship out of the Star Trek universe. In Star Trek it is called the Akira Class Starship, which was the ship type for the Enterprise-D and one of the few Federation Carriers in the latter half of the 24th Century.[1]
Comments
The Missouri is the sole carrier of the The Solar Federation. With its low mass, low cargo, and 6 fighter bays it does not appear to be much. However, when paired with a Missouri Class Battleship, Diplomacy Class Cruiser, or Nova Class Super-Dreadnought, as well as the Fed crew bonus of +3 fighter bays and extra mass, this ship becomes an amazing threat. Although a fully loaded Kitty costs around 7500 mc, this should not be a problem for a fed player that has paid attention to developing his economy.
Because of its small cargo hold Kitty's need constant resupply from other Kitty's. A Kittyhawk Class Carrier allows a Federation player to maintain a favorable ratio for PBPs When fighting races with Heavy Carriers.
