As of 2025 at Planets.nu, the H-Ross now has the Fighter Transfer which EE starbases and the Gorbie already had. This ability does not apply in Classic games.

Comments

Fairly massive but lightly armed, the H-ross is probably better utilized by taking advantage of its cargo capacity to support heavier carriers.

The Starbase Fighter Transfer ability allows it to be useful as a logistics ship to keep fighters available to smaller carriers at the front line. It also allows it to be a "hub" for fighters being sent long distances to starbases or Gorbies.
