Damage and Repair

Damages
Damages are obtained in many ways, all forms of damage can be repaired the same way except for damage to starbases. see starbases for more details on starbase damage repair. all damage to starships is measured in percentage. as damage increases, more and more systems will not function. engine speeds will be reduced. some launch bays and torpedo launch tubes will be unable to partipate in battles. repairs are needed to restore the ship making it fully functional.
Repairs
there are three ways to repair. deep space repair, starbase repair, and via repair ships.
Repairs in Deep Space
Starships can repair damage in space using supplies. Five supply units will repair 1% of ship damage. To repair a ship just load the damaged ship with supplies and the ship will be repaired next turn. Repairs in space DO NOT add mission crew to the ship.
Starbase Repairs
After a starship has returned from a mission or has just been constructed you can use the starbase to fix the ship. The fix command will repair all the damage done to the ship in one game turn. The starbase fix mission will not upgrade the tech level of any parts of the starship. When you fix a ship you have the chance to load torpedoes or fighters onto the starship if it can handle them. The Starbase Fix command allows you to repair 1 damaged ship in orbit around the starbase's planet. The Starbase Fix Command is the only way to replace lost crew.
