As of 2025 at Planets.nu, the Super Star Cruiser II replaces the SSC in Standard, This change does not apply to Classic games.
Slightly more expensive than the Super Star Destroyer, one more fighter bay, and of course less of a risk should it fall into enemy hands. It carries far more fuel than the other middle to heavy weight Imperial ships. The SSC has the same number of bays as the Super Star Carrier.
