Overview
Explore Map is a historical VGA Planets addon. It limits the visibility of planets, thereby forcing players to wander about in order to find more planets. Players would receive a map file alongside their usual turn packages.
Revival in Planets Nu
Explore Map has been revived/recreated in Planets Nu.
Old Nu default settings:
- Ship scan range reduced to 250ly
- Planet scan range limited to 200ly
Current Nu default settings:
- Ship scan range stays at 300ly
- Planet scan range reduced to 400ly
