Insectoids are a native race found on planets scattered throughout the galaxy.
Insectoids are very giving to their Masters and thus provide extra Megacredits to the planet.
Increased Taxing
Insectoids produce twice the normal amount of Megacredits per turn per percentage as other native races, to a maximum of 5000MC. More than 2500 colonist clans on the planet are therefore unnecessary.
