			=== Engine Shield Bonus ===
			Engine Shield Bonus works by adding to a ship's combat mass. This bonus combat mass is calculated by taking the MC cost of the engine on a ship, and adding it to the combat mass.

			For example, the [[Eng\|Transwarp Drive]] costs 300 MC. Since the Saber will add 50% engine shield bonus, it adds +150 kt to the ship being shielded. If there are two Saber Shield Generators, the bonus combat mass will be +300 kt.

			This extra combat mass can make a huge difference in combat, because it will greatly reduce the damage done by enemy torpedoes and beams. If it increases a ship's mass above 320 kt, the ship will take only 1 damage per fighter hit.
