Adapted from Infolist v3.1 created by Eden Tan.

Notes Regarding FC's at planets.nu
Friendly Codes that match exactly will prevent combat, however VGA Planets.nu allows the use of mixed case sensitivity codes. and to prevent combat the codes must match in case sensitivity as well.

Examples
*HYP vs hyp = combat..does not match case sensitivity
*lfm vs Lfm = Combat..does not match case sensitivity
*hYp vs hYp = no combat.. matches exactly
*lFm vs lFm = Combat between ships..despite exact match, lfm is an exception towards matching friendly codes for combat purposes

however when performing functions or missions the case sensitivity will still work

Example of mkt, MKT, mKT all perform the make torpedoes mission this is true for all VGA Planets.nu friendly codes

Planetary
<pre>
att - attack all enemy ships in orbit with fuel (*)
nuk - attack all enemy ships in orbit with or without fuel (*)
bum - beam up MC to foreign ships in orbit, split evenly
con - have host send a listing of the current host configuration
dmp - dump all parts in starbase storage bins if a SB orbits the planet. All
parts will be converted to minerals and dumped onto the planet
surface. Fighters and torpedoes are not dumped.

Notes:
*att/nuk will not work on Rebels and Fascists if that host config is enabled.

Mikael Hasselstein: /* Overview */

Overview
Web mines are a special kind of space mines that can only be laid by The Crystal Confederation. All ships with torpedo launch tubes owned by the Crystallines can use the mission "Lay Web mines".

Like normal space mines, web mines will damage enemy ships that hit a webmine. The chance of hitting a web mine is higher than hitting a normal mine, and disregards cloaking. Additionally, all ships that start inside a webmine field are drained 25kT of fuel per web field per turn.

Web mines may be laid in the identity of a foreign player. This can be used to the crystal's advantage, because of their web mine immunity. However, the foreign player may also travel them safely. They also lack the constant drain effect, but they still deal devastating damage when triggered.

Trigger Effects
Webmines deal about 10% of normal damage to starships compared to normal space mines.

<math>
\operatorname{damage} =
floor(1000 / mass)
</math>

However, they will instantly stop any ships that trigger them (set to warp 0) and drain fuel. This fuel loss is in addition to the fuel that would have been used to arrive at the intended waypoint.

<math>
\operatorname{drain} =
max(50, ceil(fuel / 6))
</math>

Webmine lay
Web mines have the very same multipliers than normal mines when they are laid per torpedo.

The Merlin Class can be the economic backbone of already exploited planetary clusters and usually is found close to important star-bases and bovinoid planets. In combat it is fairly tough to destroy, although it can only be equipped with 8 beam weapons.

Its gigantic cargo hold (the largest of all ships) can be used in a pinch for the evacuation of colonist from important planets, if the necessary amount of fuel is at hand. But with a 2700 cargo capacity and 450 fuel tank, and 10 engines, it, like the Neutronic Refinery ship, is really more of a starbase than a ship.
The Merlin makes an excellent last ditch fighter-killing ship with its eight beams. However, its extreme mass makes it vulnerable to destruction by carriers, and capture by higher grade torpedo ships.
With the assistance of the Engine-Shield (at 50% for +150kT) or Right Side (60% chance for +360kT) bonus mass, this ship can deal heavy damage to even the best carriers with its eight torpedo tubes. One of the best support ships that is also cheap on PBP.
As is denoted by the statistics below, the Thor Frigate is capable of dealing quite a bit of damage to these ships, but it needs the bonus mass that will allow it to hit 320kT.
In Star Trek it is called the Galaxy Class Starship, which was the ship type for the Enterprise-D and one of the strongest Federation Starships in the latter half of the 24th Century.

The Missouri is the main warship of the The Solar Federation. It is not one of the most powerful torpedo ships in the game, nor is it the most powerful torpedo ship the Federation can build. The Nova Class Super-dreadnought is the Federations most powerful ships. However a wise ferederation commander will have far more Missy's, as they are sometime affectionately called, as opposed to Nova's. The reason is that two Missy's can be built for the price of one Nova, and a fed player can heavily utilize Super-Refit to upgrade their components on their Missouri's to be far more effective than the rest of the the races ships.

Because of its small fuel tank, the Missouri Class Battleship will be paired with a Nebula Class Cruiser for fuel and torpedos, as well as Kittyhawk Class Carriers for support in fighting her BB's and Heavy Carriers. A Missy-Kitty-Missy combo can easily destroy most Heavy Carriers in the game at a favorable PBP ratio of 7PBPs for a dead Rush/Virgo compared to 5 PBP's for a lost Missy and lost Kitty.
While significantly more expensive, other ships may be more useful in the long term: Missouri and Diplomacy are better fighters, the Nebula can perform a dual role defense/cargo, and even the Thor can throw out more firepower defensively. |ShipName=Eros Class Research Vessel |Races=The Solar Federation and The Lizard Alliance |Comments=The Eros Class Research Vessel is a dual-engine terraforming craft. This ship is capable of cooling hot planets whose temperature exceeds 50, supporting otherwise inhospitable desert planets. Also makes a cheap support ship.
|Notes=* With Transwarp Drives and Blasters, the Eros Researcher can total 1400ly (about 0.07 kT/ly) of non-stop movement with a full tank but no cargo, and 1000ly (about 0.11 kT/ly) when completely full
* The Eros is an excellent "filler" ship to build at starbases for the Lizards. They can be used for HISSing, cooling planets, for money transport, and even towing, as needed. If you can afford it, put good engines on it, but if you can't afford it, well, put warp 1 engines on it and overclock as needed. The Eros can have a warp 1 engine going at warp 9 and still make one 81ly hop, albeit at a ruinous fuel efficiency. Sometimes it makes sense! Transwarp Eroses are a backbone utility ship for moving light but vital stuff around, like money.

|Comments=The Kittyhawk Class Carrier is a ship out of the Star Trek universe. In Star Trek it is called the Akira Class Starship, which was one of the few Federation Carriers in the latter half of the 24th Century.. The Kittyhawk is the sole carrier of the The Solar Federation. With its low mass, low cargo, and 6 fighter bays it does not appear to be much. However, when paired with a Missouri Class Battleship, Diplomacy Class Cruiser, or Nova Class Super-dreadnought, as well as the Fed crew bonus of +3 fighter bays and extra mass, this ship becomes an amazing threat. Although a fully loaded Kitty costs around 7500 mc, this should not be a problem for a fed player that has paid attention to developing his economy. Because of its small cargo hold Kittyhawks need constant resupply. A Kittyhawk Class Carrier allows a Federation player to maintain a favorable ratio for PBPs When fighting races with Heavy Carriers.
