This ship can create [[Hostile Planets|inhospitable desert planets]], which the [[the Crystal Confederation|Crystalline]] people and their fellow siliconoid natives thrive on. Only really useful for terraforming, since the Emerald has the same number of beams for mine sweeping and is much more useful for other purposes like cargo hauling, laying mines, and towing. Build it with low tech engines and tow it when it (rarely) needs to move. It needs fuel onboard to terraform, but no fuel will be burned.<br />
